In short

No accounts, no servers, no ads, no tracking. Your data stays on your iPhone. When you share a trip with your group, it travels through your own iCloud, never through us.

What is stored, and where

• Trips, expenses, pot, plan and bookings: on your iPhone, with a copy in your own iCloud so they can be shared with your group and come back on a new iPhone.
• Your name and photo: on your iPhone, visible to members of trips you share.
• IBAN or wallet number: on your iPhone, shown only to trip members at settle-up so they can pay you. No money moves through the app.
• Documents (passport, visa, insurance): on your iPhone with full iOS file protection, locked with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, never shared.
• Receipt photos, booking files and place photos: on your iPhone, and shared with the trip's members only, through iCloud. Reading a receipt's total happens on the device.

Sharing a trip

Shared trips sync between members' devices using Apple's iCloud sharing and are stored in your iCloud accounts. We cannot see them. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Outside services

• Exchange rates: from the free ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com). Only your home currency is requested; nothing about you is sent.
• Apple Maps: place searches go to Apple Maps under Apple's privacy policy.
• Place links: when you paste a short place link (from Google Maps, for example), the app opens it once to find the spot; nothing about you is sent with it.
• Purchases: handled by the App Store. We never receive card or payment details.

Notifications

Flight, plan, settle-up and document reminders, and group alerts (an expense you share, a transfer, a pot top-up request), are made on your iPhone from the trip data that reaches it through iCloud. Each kind can be turned off in the app.

Deleting your data

Delete any trip or document in the app and its files go with it. Account → Erase all my data removes everything at once, including your trips' iCloud copies, except trips your friends joined, which stay with them. Deleting the app removes its data from your iPhone; its copy stays in your iCloud until you remove it in your iPhone's iCloud settings. Trips you joined remain with the other members.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we collect no data about anyone.
